Center
The Center
The center is eternal
It is your source and fate
It is within you
even now
You are standing at the gate
When serene edenic garden dreams
Arise from unknown deep
Nigrescent death, and the moon it seems
Brings you an uneasy sleep
Do not fear what is not clear
Some things you just never can see
Answer loudly to the voice
Reply not too proudly
With your choice
That you are free, can only be
And cure your lone asymmetry
JMJ/1983. This is the only poem that I set to music (in 1995).
